INTRODUCTION:
I am using this page to document information on the Jewish organization called Irgun Zvai Leumi.
"In the meantime a sort of war had been going on in Palestine. An underground army of young Jews had come into existence. In 1937 this army startled everybody by announcing it was going to drive the British forces out of Palestine and set up an independent State of Israel. The name of this army of Jewish fighter for freedom was the Irgun Zvai Leumi, Hebrew words meaning Organization, Military, National. Its insignia was a hand holding a rifle and the Hebrew words, "Only Thus.""

The “National Military Organization,” also known by the Hebrew letters Etzel - a Jewish terrorist group in Palestine. The Irgun was headed by Revisionist Zionist Menachem Begin and had been killing and maiming Arabs, Britons and even Jews in its efforts to establish a Jewish state.
It would appear that since it's inception, this organization saw violence as it's means of achieving it's objective.
